The Chicago Sky would like to invite all Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana to Girl Scouts Night with the Chicago Sky 2010. The Sky will partner with the Girl Scouts to bring Girl Scouts some exciting activities and experiences at two Sky games at Allstate Arena during the 2010 season. The Sky is offering special discounted ticket prices to all Girl Scouts. For every ticket the Girl Scouts purchase the Sky will donate $5 back to the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
On June 5, as part of the Girl Scouts Forever Green Community Action Plan, the Sky will host a Forever Green Festival prior to the Sky taking on the Tulsa Shock. Girl Scouts are invited to take part in the festival, beginning at 3:30pm, outside Allstate Arena before participating in fun activities throughout the game. Festival highlights include a battery and cell phone recycling site, a showcase of Girl Scouts Forever Green Community Action Projects, Journey World related activity booths, displays from environmental experts and a showcase of Journey World and Take Action training session for leaders, girls and parents. Registration for the event is $20 per person and registration includes entry to the Forever Green Festival, a commemorative patch and visor, complimentary food and drink, music, games and activities and admission to the Sky game. On August 14, the Girl Scouts will run the show. When the Sky host the Atlanta Dream, Girl Scouts will have the chance to be assigned a responsibility to help operate the Sky game. Girl Scouts will take tickets, serve as ball girls, photograph the team and even write news stories for the Sky Web site.
