Sky Falls in OT
Smith led Washington (7-4) with 17 points and the Sky (4-8) dropped their fourth game in a row , 65-61 in Washington.
Sylvia Fowles led the Sky with 17 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots. Guards Jia Perkins and Epiphanny Prince chipped in 10 points apiece.
The Sky led by as many as 13 points in the first half. In the second Washington stormed back. The Mystics tied the game at 40 with 30 seconds left in the third quarter after outscoring the Sky 20-8 in the quarter.
Perkins missed a three to win the as the fourth quarter wound down and the Mystics managed to gut out the win in the overtime period.
The Sky outscored Washington 38-24 in the paint for the night.
