Courtney's Corner presented by Select Physical Therapy is a one-stop-shop for fans, trainers, aspiring trainers, coaches and the casual visitor to find weekly tips, videos and information covering nutrition, fitness, muscle management and injury prevention and care from Courtney Watson, the Athletic Trainer of the WNBA's premier team, the Los Angeles Sparks.

Sept. 9: Courtney's Corner Athletic Training Clinic at STAPLES Center
You’ll have the opportunity to learn from industry-leading doctors and guest speakers on topics ranging from nutrition and hydration, to strength and conditioning, to concussion management and awareness. For only $20, all participants will receive a premium-level ticket to the Friday., Sept. 9 game vs. Tulsa, an invitation to watch Sparks shoot-around and a goodie bag. Six trainers will be invited to observe the Sparks behind-the-scenes on gameday, while 20 trainers will be selected to work with Courtney during the offseason!

Saturday Athletic Training Clinic
Select Physical Therapy and the Los Angeles Sparks have partnered to bring the Los Angeles area convenient and high quality sports medicine care for local high school youth. Select Physical Therapy and the Sparks will hold Saturday morning clinics where physical therapists and athletic trainers will be on-hand to provide athletic injury screening. The clinics are open to all high school athletes.

Courtney's Corner facilitates the professional development of aspiring athletic trainers, massage therapists, strength & conditioning, and nutritionists while providing training services to youth athletic teams in Los Angeles County and of course the premiere Los Angeles Sparks.
Requirements:
Open to High School Seniors
College Students/Post Graduate
GPA (high school students, college students) 2.5 or greater
Sports Med classes-Basic Athletic Training courses
First Aid/CPR/AED certified
Bi monthly educational seminars
5 hrs/week volunteer work at a local high school/sporting event
